Cut It Off

Chop your woo. Clip your wig. Lop those locks. Get your ears lowered.

If you’re a long-haired lass in the market for a spring haircut, consider a major makeover that can help someone less fortunate.

A million years ago (okay, it’s been four months) I cut eight inches off my hair in hopes of donating it. When I did this the first time, for my twenty-fifth birthday (a million years ago), I sent it to Locks of Love, which helps disadvantaged children dealing with hair loss. Now I hear Pantene and some other organizations offer a similar service. Click around and find a cause and company that feels right to you, then get to snipping!

Send One Suit

A quickie little cross-post from another writing gig:

Starting tomorrow and running through Sunday (that’s March 1 through 4), Dressbarn is teaming up with Dress for Success to collect interview/office-appropriate clothing donations for disadvantaged women reentering the workforce. You can help by spending some time this “extra” Leap Day getting a jump on spring cleaning your closets for a good cause.

Get all the details over at my Work It, Mom blog and see what I’m donating and why it’s something I’ve owned for a decade but it still has the tags on.

Spread the word!
